I AM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! =DDDDD
mission trip was VERY fruitful. yupp, i enjoyed it A LOT.
and now im like chiangmai sick.. quotes sheela:
body at singapore yet our hearts are still at chiangmai(:the youth there were easy to get along with, which was good. we had a lot of fun together!! but sadly the day that we started to know them more was the day we had to leave singapore.
day1: flight was at 8+ so we reached the airport at like 6+ in the morning. thanks to all those to got up so early to send us off yeah! then arrived at chiangmai in the afternoon. weather was FANTASTIC! sunny yet cooling. i didnt sweat AT ALL lah. hahaha!! our hotel didnt look very welcoming on the outside but the inside was pretty nice. i bunked with nana! we're
THE ROOMIES! lol. serene bunked with sheela so it was like a switch over thing.. they're called
THE BOMBING BUDDIES! xDD they must have contracted it from nigel and jerry. tsktsktsk. we had a city tour around chiangmai. visited this handicraft thing which made products outta animal skin. the stingray one was GROSS lah! the shape and eyes were still there. oh yuck. x( had fellowship dinner with the youth there and then night bazaar! bargained like mad man.. i was grouped with the guys but it was fun nevertheless. esp with nigel and his bargaining skills. HAHAHA!!!!! hilarious! btw, we got around the place with a hired song-tel, or whatever the spelling is. so shiock okay!
day2: intercession at the church where we prayed for the youth and stuff. evangelistic outreach at night.. gosh. i totally screwed up the flags part. i think we visited aunty gigi at her place too? yup.. one of the days lah. it was BEYOOTIFUL alright. and yes, geraldine sticked with the girls throughout the trip and "abandoned" her mummy.. hah. she was really cute man! night bazaar at night again. i bought shades, for fun. =DD so me, sheela, nigel and rayson each bought a shade and bargained it from 1 for 1000baht to 4 for 1000baht. LOL. shee's shade was so uh, sheela. rayson's shades looked like the chem lab goggles [a little lah] and nigel's one looked like ROBOCOP! >.< he was admiring himself and doing some shuai ge pose in the mirror lor. oh yes. i must mentioned that i was being CONSTANTLY poked by nigel for the whole trip. grrrrr!! shopping at central plaza in the afternoon.. first shop was body glove!! hoho.. everyone chionged man. then jerry was complaining that everyone's starting to buy body glove already. HAH.. then uncle jem said jerry was like deep in his BGR or something. which is, BodyGloveRelationship.
day3: cisited the elephant camp and the long neck villagers. elephant ride was so cool! HAHAHA.. serene and i were laughing our heads off at jerry and nigey's elephant cause all the other elephants were walking except theirs which was at a corner down the hill eating GRASS. so they got stranded there for i-dont-know-how-long. xDD the long neck village thing was an eye opener man.. weather was freezing yet they could survive. the little girl was soooo pretty and cuteee!! made everyone go gogo-gaga over her. i think we went shopping at airport plaza that day. prices were "NICE", totally. so me, nana, shee and ser just sat at dunkin donuts and settled for a drink after walking the 1st level. evangelistic outreach again at someone's place this time. ser said i looked as if i was containing my smile lah.. i dont remember though. heh.. and jerry's mini fan club!! HAHAHAHA.. the girls were so overly excited about jerry man. they grined so widely when they stood beside him to take picture. just jerry and the girl, alone. 3 girls though. and it was the first time we really saw jerry smiling for the cam man!
day4: little geraldine, jeremiah and aunty sheila went back to singapore and we sent them off. then conbined youth meeting at night. prayed for the youth there and they prayed for us too.. the translation part made the sharing a little longer but yeah, i survived. hah.. thats where we got to know more of them. i forgot the rest already. bleahhhh..
day5: we headed for pong aang village where tee lived. a night stay there and we celebrated christmas with the youths there too! the village was a 2 hour drive from chiangmai.. bus ride was a little not-so-spacious yet cosy! nana and rayson spent the whole time taking pictures of us sleeping. SUCH MEAN PEOPLE!! i shall be mean as well and post them up when i get it. hohoho.. dinner was simple yet nice! the guys as usual stuffed themselves. haiyoh. tee's dad slaughtered a pig for our dinner and the bbq at night. the villagers were invited to the celebration and of course, uncle jem shared a salvation message. then it got pitch black when driving to our camp site. rayson scared the wits outta sheela by "gliding" past the van's window. HAHA!!! the girls stayed in a brick built house, me shee ser and nana shared a room, while the guys slept in the tent. lol. then we had to walk to the guys sleeping area cause the bbq was at that place. it was pitch black except for the torch light which shone a little for us to see our path. >.< was walking with ser and decided it would be better to walk with a guy or something. so i pulled nigel along to walk with me since he was just behind and he's the guy im closest to lah. the path was so rocky and freakyyyyyyy!! thanks nigey for letting me pull you along.. haha(:
day6: as usual, shee and ser had to pull nana and i up in the morning cause it was freezing and we didnt wanna get up. lol. drove back to the hotel to drop our stuff then last minute shopping and lunch with the LYF at central plaza. its like, we just got to know them and interact with them better but it was our last day already. =/ so anyway the sojourners girls, tee, nu and kan [the youth girls] went to this studio at the plaza to take pictures! its pretty man! shee couldnt stop looking at it.. aiyoh. the youth there sent us off to the airport after that. i miss them so much already!!!! sucha fun bunch of people la.
i miss tee, kan, nu, little nana, aunty pimpa, pastor kamseang, suwit, sorn, putt, a, mum, joe and the rest of the youthhhhhhhh!! kinda brain blocked now. hah.. definitely would wanna go back there again if theres another mission trip.
me and nana rushed to wash up every morning without fail i tell you. none of us bothered about the alarm. yes, her alarm was LOUD and NOISY! shee and serene ended up banging on our doors everyday to wake us up. lol.
some of us had new nicknames too! like:
me: SICKO!
serene: feh-le-wah
nana: toast
joel: wow-whee
nigel: poh-curry woffie bay
jerry: simon cadbury
christian: fwank
and now, back to the stressful world. ughhhh... I WANNA GO BACK TO CHIANGMAI!!!!!!!!
